An Early Tour of the Hospital

Hello all. Chris and I went on a hospital tour earlier on in the week to see where I'll be giving birth - hopefully we'll get there in time and Pedro won't be born on the 453 bus! The views over the Houses of Parliament and Big Ben are amazing and might just help to take my mind off things a bit (yeah right!). However, the day after that I ended up in the hospital for real as they thought I had pre-eclampsia. They've now decided that I don't and have let me home for the weekend. I will need to go back in on Sunday night for a brain scan to rule out any nasties that might be giving me such bad headaches. I also have some kind of infection but what and where I don't know! It's all ruined the end of the week actually as I was due to go into work to say goodbye to everyone, and to start our NCT parenting classes (though I think Chris was rather relieved to miss that!). Oh well, at least everything is being checked out in case I have the lurgy! You don't want to see a photo of me today because I look like I've been in hospital i.e. no sleep whatsoever! It's not a flattering look.

Comment re. last photo

I've only just seen that photo and I don't even look pregnant! In fact, Chris just said I look like a fat b******. Now that's not very loving! I am honestly full of baby and not full of Christmas food!

Oops! Sorry for being so slack! We had such good intentions of taking photos over Christmas and New Year but never actually got round to it. Here is a bump photo - taken at 30 weeks and 5 days. Am getting a lot bigger and 'Pedro' is now giving me some hefty kicks, and is keeping me awake at night. That's along with the chronic indigestion and the need to urinate every 15 minutes! But apart from that, all is fine and I'm still enjoying being pregnant. Have bought quite a lot of baby stuff now and my thoughts are gearing towards the birth and how our life will change in March. I'm starting to get very excited!
