I can sit up all by myself!

I am such a clever boy because I have learned to sit up all by myself! Mummy has to keep a watchful eye over me though as I have a tendency to lose focus and then I fall down! Mummy and Daddy bought a very nice rug for the living room just for me so I can practise my sitting and my crawling in comfort and style. Thanks to Auntie Bel who helped Mummy choose it. We enjoyed sending the men running around after us in John Lewis. I like to sit near to the sofa so that I can scratch it (it saves Mummy cutting my fingernails!) and I like to sit up so I can play with my wobbly duck and my caterpillar that makes silly sounds that drives my Mummy so insane that she regularly reaches for the 'off' button. Soon my hand / eye co-ordination will be so good that I will just turn it back on again!

As you can see by my photos, I am also learning how to crawl. I haven't quite got the hang of it yet and Mummy and Daddy are frantically baby-proofing everywhere because I have nearly cracked it. I can go backwards a bit though I also manage to be a bit sneaky and do this when Mummy and Daddy aren't looking! It is half term next week and Mummy and Daddy are off work so with lots of practising I might be able to crawl by the end of the month. I hope you agree that I am very clever - particularly at typing!

It's my teething ring

It was only when I had a closer look at this photo that I thought Alexander looked like he was sticking his fingers up! So naughty!

I walk I chew

It's such a shame that our flat isn't bigger as Alexander just loves scooting around. He is particularly good at hunting out anything that I haven't put away i.e. washing that's been neatly folded and is still on the sofa. Most things make it to his mouth before I have noticed, though I have no wish at all to retrieve anything as his brand new teeth are as sharp as a piranha's!!
