Back at Work is Grim

Being back at school is draining every ounce of energy reserve I have left and I'm sure Chris is being driven mad by me tootling off to bed at 8.30pm every night. It doesn't help that Alex has had a cold for 3 weeks now which shows no symptoms during the day but manifests itself as the most congested a baby can get at night. He can sleep okay if he is upright on my shoulder but that doesn't really help me get much rest! Today is my day off so we are off to the chemist to get as many drugs as a baby can take - actually just those little Karvol capsules you can get. Hope they work!

Half a Year Already?!

Well, the little one is 6 months old and we can't believe just how quickly the time is going. Everyone said it would but I just didn't believe them. I'm back at work now 4 days a week and Alexander seems to have settled in quite well at the childminder's. It's an absolute joy to collect him after school and see his beaming smile as he recognises us! The level of organisation needed to look after a baby, a house, a boyfriend and a class full of 10 and 11 year olds is truly mind blowing but I think I'm doing a good job even if I don't get to sit down until around 8.30pm. By 9pm I'm done in and have to hit the sack. Pathetic!
